Wall Street returned to its winning ways this week — and Nvidia 's blowout earnings report Wednesday night was a big reason why. Twenty-six of our 32 portfolio stocks have delivered their results this earnings season (we didn't own Abbott Labs at the time of its report). It was a muted week for macroeconomic data, but we did get a slightly better-than-expected January existing home sales report on Thursday. In the week ahead, two more Club names are set to report earnings before a market-moving economic update arrives Thursday morning. The two other reports of note are the January new home sales report on Monday and ISM Manufacturing report on Friday.

I also reserve mornings — the time when I'm most focused and creative — for tasks that require deep concentration and decision making. I implement two-way-door decision makingThis approach is a staple of how I think and approach decision making. It allows me and my team to move quickly throughout the day, maximizing high-velocity decision making. Here's how it works: I always assess whether a decision I'm making is irreversible — a "one-way door" decision that can't be walked back. Jeff Bezos used to say that around 90% of decisions we make are two-way door decisions, and that not treating two-way door decisions like one-way door decisions is the key to unlocking speed.

10 Things in Tech: Apple's big metaverse push

This week, Apple is preparing to do what no tech firm has managed yet: make the metaverse cool. Apple is ready to enter its metaverse era, but the rest of the world might not be. Some people think it's unwise to ramp up efforts to push into the metaverse — especially at a time when the metaverse is said to be headed to the industry's graveyard of failed ideas. However, it's also unwise to bet against Apple — a company whose epic feats in tech have earned its leaders cult-like status. It's quick, stylish, and high-tech, Insider's Tim Levin writes, but it falls short in range and cargo space.

Prior to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February last year, Ukraine ran its nuclear reactors on Russian fuel, producing 55% of the country's electricity. Cameco, like Energoatom, can adjust how much uranium it delivers on two years' notice, Kotin said. Contracted uranium prices are typically higher than spot prices, meaning that Cameco may take a discount if Ukraine purchases less uranium due to the war's impact, Carter said. Kotin said Energoatom will buy Cameco's uranium at a price based equally on a fixed price and a market price. BIG POTENTIAL REWARDSWhile Ukraine will rely on Cameco for uranium, it has struck separate deals for further processing.

PARIS, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Airbus (AIR.PA) will start delivering narrow-body A320neo-family jets to Air India at the end of this year as part of a 250-plane order, the aircraft manufacturer's chief commercial officer said. The carrier's huge aircraft acquisition will further expand as Air India additionally leases around 25 A320neo-family jets on the open market, he said in an interview. Reuters reported last month Air India was poised to acquire a total of 495 planes. The Airbus part of the direct order includes 34 A350-1000 aircraft and six smaller A350-900s originally destined for Russia's sanctions-hit Aeroflot. The fraud section has at least two bribery-related settlements with corporations that it plans to finalize in the coming weeks, Mr. Leon said. Justice Department settlements typically require companies to undertake compliance reforms over a set period of time. A company’s chief executive and chief compliance officer will be required to sign at the end of that period the certification document, stating that the company’s compliance program is “reasonably designed to prevent and detect” future violations. A veteran of the fraud section, Mr. Leon previously served as a supervisor in its securities fraud unit beginning in 2011 and then briefly as its deputy chief before departing in early 2014. More policy changes are on the horizon, Mr. Leon said, including an update to the fraud section’s FCPA corporate enforcement policy.
